Human Rights

These are laws that are designed to protect a set of rules that we, as a society, hold to be fundamental. This body of law is traditionally formed from Treaties or agreements between States intended to legally bind those that have agreed to them. Enforcement of these rights may occur on a domestic, regional or international level and, when one level of law appears to have misapplied the law, then a higher court may be appealed to in order to have those rights enforced. It is important to note that these rights are not “unbreakable”; they are simply considered worthy of protection above all other rules.
